A Successful East Africa Tracking Conference October 25, 2012

GlobalTrack sticks by their motto, “by Africa, for Africa”. They provided outstanding innovations and ideas while hosting the East Africa Tracking Convention of 2012 in Nairobi, Kenya.  Stretching over a one day product launch and a two day training workshop, GlobalTrack enlightened guests on all aspects of asset monitoring.  Guests from industries  such as cross border transport, fleet management, long- transport, mining and NGO’s attended the conference. GlobalTrack informed them of the revolutionary and unique satellite tracking solutions for their specific needs.

Global Track Sales Manager Ngoni Ray Mariga reported “The East Africa Conference in August was a success based on the opportunities and leads created after the event. The feedback from the guests was very positive and they were looking forward to more of the conference.”

The two days of training were well received by guests and the current users of GlobalTrack’s asset monitoring software. This resulted in an increase of system usage from 10% to above 50% based on the WebTrack Usage Report.  The conference included local and international speakers who shared their extensive experience in using the system. GlobalTrack’s local representatives SmartWatchSolutions, shared their experience in convincing the East Africa market on the supremacy and reliability of Satellite/GSM tracking as compared to GSM/GPS tracking.

International Solutions Manager of Chevin Fleet Solutions (UK) Peter O’Connell explained that the

Fleetwave& GlobalTrack Integration would result in a powerful web based fleet management system.  All the guests were very impressed with the capabilities of Fleetwave, let alone the integration with GlobalTrack. The conference also allowed guests to network over drinks and appetizers provided by the generous hosts. The overall atmosphere of the conference was highly  rated by guests.

Guest speaker Glenn Millar,  Group Operations Manager of Cargo Carriers International Hauliers (Pvt) Ltd Zimbabwe, made a speech which was very informative and animated, reported “I found the conference very refreshing, especially the presentation by Ngoni Ray Mariga
